• BRAVƎ consortium general meeting in Würzburg, Germany

October 2024, Würzburg (Germany).

The BRAVƎ project held its Annual Meeting 2024 the 29th and 30th of October in Würzburg, Germany. UKW, with the support of UNAV, organized an in-person two-days meeting to discuss the latest progress of the project.

During the meeting, all beneficiaries exposed the evolution of their teamwork in the project development during the year, updating the latest data discussed in the internal monitoring meeting.

Specifically, on the first day, the advances achieved by the consortium in areas such as large scale production of hiPSC-derived cardiac cells, and the use of multi-transcriptomics to characterize the BioVADs were discussed in depth. An overview of the achievements in additive manufacturing, and the different iterations of melt electrowritten-scaffolds produced during the project were presented. In silico models of cardiac electro-mechanics guiding experimentation were also presented. Finally, results from the first testing of full BioVADs in a pig model of myocardial infarction were presented.

On the second day, the engineering of BRAVƎ devices was discussed, with results on BioVAD maturation presented. Finally, the consortium planned the next steps for the upcoming months.

At the end of the meeting, Professor Felipe Prosper (Universidad de Navarra), coordinator of the project, summarized the main deliverables and milestones achieved and specified the following objectives to reach he project purpose.
